CRITICAL OBSERVATION is a skill all current and future leaders must learn, master and constantly and consistently work on to improve. When it comes to CRITICAL OBSERVATION, the ability to see beyond the surface is essential when it comes to understanding and dealing with people and/or processes in a more subtle and tactful way.

In episode 244, David shares with you the Pros & Cons of CRITICAL OBSERVATION and breaks down how several of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People affect this Soft Skill, and shares some great information on the Soft Skill of CRITICAL OBSERVATION.

Additionally, rest assured the Soft Skill of CRITICAL OBSERVATION can be mastered. It can be mastered through lots of constant and consistent practice. For beginners, know that the best way to begin is to take the initiative and get started. For those that have experience with CRITICAL OBSERVATION know they can never stop learning, growing and mentoring others. While that may seem like a lot to do but it is worth it, thus knowing those are your marching orders all that is left to do is to Get to Work!

Welcome to Episode 243 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host David G. Guerra.
In this episode, I talk about the SOFT SKILL of CREATIVITY.

CREATIVITY is a according to a Wikipedia entry the "phenomenon whereby something new and valuable is formed. As a current and future leader, having creativity and the ability to express that creativity is a must have that can be learned, mastered with constant and consistent work on to improve upon." 

However, take the following into consideration when it comes to acting on your creativity, please keep in mind that while you do your best the end result is always subject to the interpretation of others. Take the color red for instance, you use deep red, others may see the red as blood red or burgundy or some other shade of red and to them it is not what they asked for. Remember, it is subjective.

As a soft skill CREATIVITY can be mastered or not. Creativity is unique in that inherently you may be proficient in some forms of creativity and completely found lacking in others. No matter what it will become a very important skill to have not just as you are setting yourself up to lead others but to continue to lead, motivate and inspire others well into the future.

Along the way, don’t forget to CREATE WIN-WIN situations in all that you do. Start Strong! Stay Strong! Finish Strong! Be Strong!
