Leadership Is Everyone’s Business with your host, David G. Guerra, MBA

Welcome to Episode 159 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host, David G. Guerra.

In this episode, David talks about how as The Walking Leader, As The Walking Leader, You Must Never Forget, Leadership Is Everyone’s Business.

Sadly, far too many people believe that leadership is solely the property of those with a title, a degree, or tenure. While there is something to be said for those individuals who have but in the work to achieve that title, earn that degree, or outlast others. However, what about everyone else? Simple, they are leaders as well. The rules, guides, suggestions and premises behind leadership are not the dedicated to those who manage others, they are for everyone. Everyone that wants to not only improve themselves but actively pursuing the success and growths of others, of creating new leaders. New leaders because leadership is everyone’s business.

Don't forget to CREATE WIN-WIN situations in all that you do. Start Strong! Stay Strong! Finish Strong! Be Strong!

And as always, I remind you to GO BEYOND THE GRIND & GO BEYOND THE HUSTLE BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE THE WALKING LEADER AND A LEADER THAT IS GREAT TO FOLLOW.

I invite you to take about 7 minutes and listen to the Episode 159 of the Walking Leader Podcast. Enjoy!

Never Become A Bully that Intimidates, is Rude, Feels Entitled, and Talks Down To Other Individuals

Welcome to Episode 158 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host, David G. Guerra.

In this episode, I talk about how As The Walking Leader, You Must Never Become Those The Bully that Intimidates, Is Rude, Feels Entitled, and Yes, Even Talks Down To Other Individuals.

There will come a time that you will find yourself becoming a bully that intimidates others, is rude, feels a sense of entitlement, and yes, even talks down to others. Sadly, almost everyone that has been put in some kind of "management" position has been guilty of this. If you say "Oh, no! Not Me!" well you are a liar. Everyone, especially first timers have found themselves a little full of themselves. However, recognizing that fact, early, is the best way to learn from it to move and grow. Hopefully, grown into a leader that has seen the dark side of "managing others" and has become better for having once being that individual. Learning and Growing is the Fast Track To Leadership Greatness.

As The Walking Leader, You Must Listen To Understand

Welcome to Episode 156 of the Walking Leader Podcast.
In this episode, I talk about how As The Walking Leader, You Must Listen To Understand.

It is a LEADER’S intention to ensure that those that follower her must clearly and concisely understood. On the flip side of the relationship between leader and follower is undeniable; the Leader must LISTEN TO UNDERSTAND. Failing to listen to understand is the quickest way for a leader to disconnect from those he is supposed to leading. Once leaders lose their followers the ability to get them back is all but gone. Therefore, all leaders must go out of their way to make listening to understand a top priority.

Developing Your True Grit

Welcome to Episode 155 of the Walking Leader Podcast.
In this episode, I talk about Developing Your True Grit

GRIT is define as courage and resolve; strength of character. Every one, every one at every level must have GRIT. Grit is a mandatory requirement of leaders (from current to up-and-coming) and that is non-negotiable. COURAGE and RESOLVE is what makes a leader people will flock to. Gravitating toward those that possess STRENGTH OF CHARACTER means their leader is NOT afraid to step up, take the reins, to be the one that will help lead and guide others to achieving their unique successes. It will be difficult but then again, no one ever said being a leader would be easy. However, developing your True Grit will make the process easier (a little easier).

The 146th episode of the Walking Leader Podcast

In this episode, I talk about how as the Walking Leader You Must Motivate and Inspire Your Followers.

Your Team must be motivated and ready to go at all times. That motivation and inspiration must come directly from you. However, you, as well, must be motivated and inspired. It is when you fail that then the wheels stop and can no long keep the flow. In this episode, I take a deeper dive into the intricacies and complexities around motivation and inspiration. They are always more than a speech on the battlefields of England, the beaches of Normandy, the artificial turf of a football stadium. Those speeches are the icing on the cake, I am talking about the  day-to-day motivation and inspiration.
.

Walking Leader Podcast 145 - As The Walking Leader You Must Set The Standards

Welcome to Episode 145 of the Walking Leader Podcast.

In this episode, David talks about how as a Walking Leader You Must Set The Standard. Setting the standard conveys your expectations of those you lead (including yourself). Setting Personal and Professional Standards are symbiotic in that what happens with one will affect the other. Therefore, establish your personal standards and set them high. High standards are what helps to motivate and inspire your follower but it also helps deter the naysayers from trying to undermine what you are trying to do as a leader, a Walking Leader.

I invite you to take about 16.5 minutes and listen to the Episode 145 of the Walking Leader Podcast. Enjoy!
